Peacock
Blue is my favourite colour, followed closely by green, so you can see why these beautiful birds appeal to me so much. I would love to attempt the glorious tail one day, but the cobalt blues and turquoise of the Peacock’s neck was crying out to be drawn.
This was another pastel pencil piece as the vibrant colours of these pencils got as close to the real thing as I could.
I saw a few of these birds recently on a trip to a national trust property, one was quite high up in a tree which I found quite astonishing that their tails wouldn’t hold them back, and one chased us round and round our picnic table, the kids loved it!
