This was another fabulous reference photo from Julie Hunt that showed such adorable character that it was screaming out to be drawn.
Unfortunately seeing a Hedgehog is pretty rare nowadays, I haven’t seen one for years, but if you are lucky enough to see one they are one of the sweetest creatures ever. I love the way they seem to pick up their bodies to run (surprisingly fast) and curl up into a ball when scared (something we possibly can all relate to)
This piece shows a more relaxed Hedgehog, possibly waking up for a lovely sleep or snuggling into some cozy leaves This piece always brings a smile to my face.
